Catching The Stone

Catching the Stone is a historical novel set in the mid-seventeen hundreds in Scotland. It is about men who are willing to die for their integrity, their honor, and their way of life. It is about the evil men do and the good which they’re capable of doing. And, it is about men who value their heritage as a living thing they only wish to see passed on to others when they go.

The hero of Catching the Stone is Michael, an ordinary man who grows to be extraordinary after the raiding of his village and what he thinks is the death of his true love, Cait. He is tricked by those he once trusted, attacked by those he once called friends, and betrayed by a woman he thought he could love, even after the painful loss of his wife.

As in all legends, myths, and family lore of Scotland, Catching the Stone intertwines the stories of many clans, those brave and villainous. This is a tale of giant warriors with hearts of poets, gentle shopkeepers who prove their mettle when the moment is crucial and good men who sour over the years after one evil deed changes them forever.
